Finding Stillness In The Heart Of The City

A Three-day Mindfulness-based City Retreat
Friday 27 October – Sunday 29 October 2017 at Greencoat Place (London)

This non-residential city retreat is an opportunity to deepen and refresh personal mindfulness practice.

We will practise together in silence, stillness and movement in a city space, using the transitions of arriving and leaving, eating, and resting as part of the retreat.  The retreat will include guided and silent practice, with periods of walking out in the city, to bring practice right into the experience of everyday life. We will have sustained periods of silence to enable increased connection with inner experience. There will also be opportunities for group exchanges and the teachers will be available to talk to people individually.

Who is the retreat for?

This retreat is suitable for anyone who has attended an eight-week mindfulness-based course, or for those with equivalent experience of meditation.

It is particularly suitable as an introduction for those who have never been on a retreat before and also for more experienced practitioners, whose home commitments make it difficult to go on residential retreat.

What are the requirements to attend?

Prior attendance at an eight-week mindfulness-based course. If you haven't attended an eight-week mindfulness-based course but have meditation experience, please describe this on your application form so that we can make sure the retreat is suitable for you.
